Dos Havanese

This pair of pups with loads of fun-to-paint fur are my sister's beloved Havanese. They are on their way to southern CA for B & B's shared birthday. When I return from my beach vacation (YESSS!!) I will return to making paintings that will be available for purchase.

Pug Nest

This little girl insists any blanket, throw, pillow or afghan added to the couch is hers. Who are we to argue? Those eyes.

Dapper Dog

This is Black Jax. He's easy to look at but hard to photograph. 1. Because he's a little camera shy and 2. He hides in plain view on our black couch much of the time. We often ask, "Where's Jax?" and then he grins and we can see him. He allowed us to put this bow on him last Easter. He doesn't mind accessorizing on special occasions.

Periwinkle Pug

Petunia Pug in a pensive mood. I love the colors here and the way her eye is questioning and expressive, as pugs eyes often are. Oh, the drama and the chiaroscuro.

Pug Sounds

Painted while listening to a playlist my husband just made on Spotify, Pet Smiley Smile Sounds, inspired by the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds. We just saw the greatly moving movie Love and Mercy, the story of Brian Wilson. Our pug is sitting on her favorite perch in my studio, a pink chaise.
